Keira’s Elegant New Bob
As Karl Lagerfeld showed his latest Chanel collection in Paris today, Keira Knightly sat front row and debuted a brand new, shapely bob. “I had my hair bobbed about a month ago, then I had it freshly trimmed again this morning,” the star told InStyle.co.uk. And unlike many actresses, who show off shorter strands for a role—Michelle Williams and Anne Hathaway— Knightly swears this crop was her own choice. “I did it for myself,” she said. Unsurprisingly, Knightly was awestruck by the Chanel show, “I loved it! It was just so beautiful!” We can only hope to see Knightly, her new bob, and a Chanel gown on a red carpet sometime soon.

Metallic Gray Nail Polish
A year ago, matte nails were all the rage. But as beauty mavens know, all good trends must come to an end. Take Vanessa Hudgens’s ultra-shiny metallic gray fingertips at the launch of Guess’s new Seductive fragrance in Hollywood. If you’re ready to play with a highly reflective tone, take the time to first buff your nails and apply a base coat. They formulas are a bit more fussy than creamy hues and can chip easily without a bit of prep. Deborah Lippman polish is always a good choice.
At the Giorgio Armani fashion show in Milan, Megan Fox’s watermelon pout took center-stage, but carefully appointed eyes finished her look. Rather than going for a bold lip color and heavy shadow, keep your lids bare and focus instead on your lashes. Fox added a half strip of falsies to her top lashes; you can get a similar effect by layering your mascara. Trust us—it’s almost impossible to go overboard.
Peach Nude Lips
At the Dior Fashion’s Night Out celebration in New York City, Charlize Theron turned up in smudgy, smokey eyes and low key nude lips. To try a similar mouth shade without looking sickly or washed out, choose a moisturizing formula with warm peach undertones. Spread it on with a lip brush for an even, full coverage application.
Smokey Blue Shadow
At the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, Ashley Greene kept her look fittingly young and fresh by skipping a serious smokey eye, and turning to shades of blue instead. To play with a similar concept, blend a deep navy shadow up to the crease, flicking outwards a bit at the corners of the eyes. Then rim below your bottom lashline with an icy azure. The result is moody, but not overly austere.
